Father & Son

My Mum and Dad sent me these photos of myself with my favorite cuddly toy "Hoggie the hedgehog".

They were comparing Oliver's similar push chair pose in last weeks entry Fighting without Fighting.

I think we look great together!

Drawn from memory on the way home from the Northside a couple of weekends ago...

WALK THIS WAY...

Oliver has taken to walking like a duck to water. He loves scooting around bare footed and belly forward.

video

We now have to clear the front room each morning ready for him to race back and forth lunging at anything that takes his fancy.

FIGHTING WITHOUT FIGHTING

"It's my new fighting style...the art of fighting without fighting" (Spoken with Bruce Lee/Shaw Bros. accent).

Sunday afternoon Oliver displayed his latest style on the Northside and enjoyed playing with the beer menu in Radegast Hall & Biergarten.

"don't touch me..."

OLIVER'S NEW HOUSE

I stained the interior of the shed and cleaned up the garden on Saturday.

Oliver gave it his seal of approval on Sunday before we went out for brunch.

I'm sure he will love playing in it when he's a bit older.

SUNDAY FUNDAY

We had a great Sunday last weekend, I downloaded these photo's today.

We took Oliver out for a walk over to the Northside for a quick spot of light brunch at Juliette, which was delightful. I had a the Moroccan eggs with a side of the Merengue sausage, (number one to become my new favorite at Juliette), washed down with two Duvel's delicious! Oliver had his milk whilst people watching and flirting with the waitresses and Bethzaira had the salmon with poached eggs and two glasses of champagne, bravo!!!

We then sauntered off to pick up an almond cake which Bethzaira had ordered the day before from Cheeks our local bakery. The cake was for Giacomo and Francine who had invited us over for a spicy pork roast that evening.

The pork roast we amazing, so spicy and the skin was irresistibly crunchy!

These shots were taken just off Bedford Ave, I really liked the bright colors in the graffiti and Oliver's the little "pendenciero".

IMMACULATE LOVE

Had a jolly nice day today, worked on my new group, I'm almost done specing it.

I feel really good about this group we have plenty of reference samples and I sourced alot of swatch cards which should mean what we get back from China should be pretty close to what I designed and speced.

Enjoy the 60˚ weather!

GATECRASHER

I have been busy specing my new group Gatecrasher.

These are the inspiration boards, it's the first time we are incorporating scarves and belts into the group as a crossover from accessories.

Have a safe St. Patricks and steer clear of the green beer...

LITTLE CHERUB

We received this charming little photo of Oliver today from my Aunt.

He looks quite angelic in this pose but the true Oliver came out (literally) when he decided to imitate a Cherub in a fountain (just after this shot was taken) and piddled all over the floor!!!

Wee HEE!!!

IF - LEGENDARY

It's been ages since I submitted anything for IllustrationFriday.

But today I managed to sneak in some quality drawing time before we headed out for brunch.

I leave you with the legendary GONZ pushing a sweet Indie air in Tijuana.

"...go Hombre kick IT!!!"

DON'T MESS WITH TEXAS!

Aunty Karen and Sabrina arrived on Saturday evening all the way from Houston Texas and have been staying with us this week.

Oliver has been spoilt rotten with so much love and attention. As you can see he likes to order us around and tell us where he'd like to be carried next!

I am working on yet another group, we bought samples yesterday which was good but now I have just over a week to design and get it out the door and spec'ed ready for the factories. The work never ends but I guess that's a good thing...

NINO'S 6 MONTH CHECK-UP!

I had the day off work yesterday, home sick with the dreaded flu. But I did manage to get Oliver to his monthly check-up at Dr. Pete's.

As you can see Oliver was fascinated by all the paperwork and Dr. Pete's stethoscope which of course went straight into his mouth as soon as he got hold of it!

All went well Oliver is now a whopping 18.5 pounds and 27.5" tall. He also had two more shots, one for hepatitis and one for pneumonia, both which made him cry. But this time for only a little while and then he was back to playing with the stethoscope and Dr. Pete's dog Jimmy!

NO REST FOR THE WICKED!

I had a busy Saturday, we had to finalize setting up the showroom ready for next weeks market.

I got to work at 10am and created an inspiration page for one of my groups, printed Don a second set of prints of his Zen water-paintings and burnt him a CD. Then we picked up a Fed Ex delivery with samples from China and put them out in the showroom. And finally I cleaned off the old design on the black board and drew up some happy hungry monsters to welcome people to the showroom!

Then I rode home dropped off Don's prints en route and had a quick spot of lunch before I headed out with Michael to pick up some wood stain for the shed he has built us to go under the stairs in the garden.

It was fun afternoon, the shed looks great we finished up for the day at about 10pm.

Needless to say I was cream crackered by the time I got home but thoroughly satisfied with my day
