HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!

5 years to this day Bethzaira and I took our vows on the beach just before the sunset in Las Terrenas.

We have come along way since then, finding our way as a married couple, moving to Brooklyn and this year has been extra special with the arrival of little Oliver.

CHRISTMAS DINNER...

Was delicious, rib-eye roast with Yorkshire pudding Brussels, broccoli, carrots and gravy!

Zack, Ting and Bethzaira dressed up to celebrate in style. I remained behind the camera but I was dressed in a kilt and bow tie (NOT).

CHRISTMAS DAY 2008

Merry Christmas!

It was such a great family Christmas even though we were apart having Matthew and Zack back from SF and little Oliver with us this year made it extra special.

Here are a few shots of the day's events, as you can see Oliver was quite excited with his retro Christmas outfit.

We had a quick walk along the canal before turning back home as the conditions were too icy for a safe walk with the little man but we got just enough fresh air to work up a good appetite for our Christmas Dinner!

CHRISTMAS EVE

We just got back from celebrating Christmas at Matthew & Zack's house in the country.

It was a wonderful weekend and a fantastic first Christmas for little Oliver. He was spoilt rotten with so many beautiful gifts and so much attention. Matthew and Zack treated him to an early Christmas gift from them so we could eat dinner in peace.

As you can see he was completely knocked out!

MTV CRIBS

We spent a fun evening over at Genvieve, Juliette and Miguel's apartment on Saturday night. Oliver especially enjoyed hanging out in Juliette's (MTV) Crib(s).

I think he really liked the plush padding and spacious layout, we will have to get him one in the New Year!

ARTIC BLAST!

We had two snow storms over the weekend, Friday being the big one which left us with a delightfully seasonal sprinkling of snow in the backyard. Oliver was quite impress with the white stuff but he will have to wait until next year to really get into it!

Today was a "frigid" 14˚ as I left for work but with the wind chill it was predicted to feel like -5˚. Thanks to my trust parker I felt quite cosy if not slightly ungainly as I squeezed my way onto the subway.

CHRISTMAS IN BROOKLYN

I added the finishing touches to our Christmas decorations today.

It's Oliver's and our first real Christmas tree (even though it's a fake tree) I'm very happy with how it looks. I always feel bad for all those trees discarded and left on the street after Christmas so at least we are doing our part and recycling for next year, Ho Ho Ho!!!

I picked up a nice wreath for the front door which I decorated with my "New York Dolls" Xmas decorations for Parcel and even the pig got a little Christmas Bow-tie to add to the holiday cheer.

HAIRCUT

Zack kindly saved me from the slow and painful death of normal hair this week. I had been attempting to re-grow it for the winter but it was just not happening.

I'm very pleased with the outcome. As I was told yesterday at my works Christmas do it's short on top with a "party in the back!"

I'm catching up on my weeks blogging today. It's been a crazy week of specing and comments, trying to get the last group out before the end of the year. Thank goodness it the weekend!

VANS TA

My new vans arrived over the weekend, I am particularly pleased with them.

They are Tony Alva quarters with an eco-friendly construction and recycled gum rubber. The upper features premium suede and woodgrain-printed canvas and the gum sole has wood grain chips mixed into the rubber, NICE!

WINTER BARN

My Dad gave us this beautiful watercolor of the old barn on Harrow Road. He had been itching to have some one on one time with his sketchbook and this barn since his last visit to PA.

We are going to frame it this week and add it to the family collection.

THANK GOODNESS!

We had a wonderful time over the Thanks Giving Holiday weekend. Matthew and Zack cooked up a storm with turkey and ham, brussels, carrots, sweet potato, roasted potato and many more savory delights!

Oliver got to meet the Grand Parr's and his Aunty Hannah for the first time, as you can see they had a lot of catching up to do.
