LITTLE PORKER

To celebrate my promotion I decided to treat myself to a little pork(er) this weekend his name is Pigsy. After the character Pigsy the 1978 Japanese television series Monkey Magic, based on the classic Chinese novel Journey to the West by Wu Cheng'en.

BEERS ARE ON ME!!!

It's official, I've been promoted to Design Director for LOOP! Of course along with the new title comes a numerical bump which I am very happy about.

Needless to say I shall be modestly celebrating tonight at Sortie with my lovely wife!

NEWTEEVEE DINNER!

Monday night we went to the New York NewTeeVee Pier screenings, it's a company similar to Youtube that showcases film shorts online. It was an "interesting" experience being totally surrounded by web-geeks and media types, in fact they were so geeky and nervous that they had to be encourage to sit down for the screening! A few still preferred to remain standing like wall flowers sipping free beer and munching on popcorn. We left after the second screening the films were awful but the free beer and popcorn went down well in the beautiful space over looking the Hudson. We keep saying I could live here...

After our geek-fest we headed over the Williamsburg bridge to the Sweet Water Restaurant on North 6th to celebrate my promotion to (Drum Roll!!!) Design Director, YES!!!

Hola Mi amores!

We have just got back from a wonderful trip to Espanol, to meet with our new nephew and congratulate his parents on his arrival. I have been so busy with work and getting back into a rhythm that I have neglected my blog for over a week, for which I deeply apologize to those of you who have been logging on regularly.

MONKEY BUSINESS

I'm catching up with all my blogging this week. As I mentioned in my last
blog Bessie treated me to tickets to see the Artic Monkeys play the summer
stage in Central park. It was a great show, they are SO good and SO young,
they seem really tight as a band and the performance was seamless.

We also by complete chance met up with my old mate Steve Toner who was over
for NY fashion week shoot for his magazine Exit. It was great to catch up
with him it had been almost 5 years since we last hung-out. Funnily enough
it was for the Exit launch party in NY, lots has happened since then,
marriage, green cards and an apartment for me and success in the editorial
magazine industry for Steve, good on yer son!

More from me tomorrow with news of our trip to A Coruna to see our our new
nephew Lucas AKA El Senór!

ARE YOU PUTTIN' ME ON?

We have just had the terrace re-done here at LOOP, painted and re-grassed, well astro-grassed!!!

I will be purchasing some golf balls and clubs for some late afternoon putting.

We're off to see the Artic Monkey's at the Summer Stage in Central Park, should be fleckin' groovy!!!
