We had a wonderful time in San Francisco zipping around the city and the local neighborhood out in Sausalito in Matthew’s Porsche and Zack’s Mini! The 4th of July was fun we spent the day at a friends pool catching some sun then headed over to Stacy and Greg’s place for an ALL American BBQ. We nearly had cardiac arrest after gorging ourselves on smoked pork brisket, ribs, home-made baked beans and tons of great wine from all over the world!
Thursday we had amazing dim sum at Yang Sing in the city after checking out Matthew’s groovy office and personal terrace. Then we zipped over to the De Young museum for some culture init, cool building but a bit of a let down art wise although they did have an amazing selection or South American, Africa, Polynesian artifacts and art.
Friday we jumped in the Mini and Zack drove us all up to Napa for some wine tasting and cards, the locals were quite taken by our hardcore outdoor Dominican Rummy playing at “Go Fish” a delightful seafood restaurant. That night we had a dinner at a restaurant in the city called Foreign Cinema, they project foreign films on a huge wall whilst the groovy clientele dine and party the night away!
Saturday we went to Muir Woods to see the colossal Redwoods and sample the outdoors life, for the evening we ended up back in Sausalito over looking the bay drinking tequila’s and enjoying the sunset on the water...Nice!
Sunday we had brunch at a delightful little inn before heading to Stinson beach where they advertise the fact that great white sharks are present in the area and have attacked humans in six foot of water needless to say I declined from taking a dip in the Pacific!!!
We arrived back early Monday morning to a steamy NYC thoroughly content with our Californian adventure, thank you Matthew and Zack for making a trip to remember!
LOVE
