It's official Today my Dad retired from professional teaching...for now at least! Congratulations Peter, I'm sure this summer will be an awakening of the soul and spirits as you look forward to many more years sketching and traveling the world.
He spent the day at the beach getting into his new favorite pastime Rock-climbing and grooving around with Byron. Retirement obviously suits you Peter you look like your 21 again!!!

Phew I've just finished a mad 3 day project, lots of seventies inspired the art for one of our private label vendors. This is one of my favorites for the girls...
Had a good dinner with Matthew last night in Williamsburg's Sweet-Water-Restaurant. His hotel is pretty groovy, lot's of dark wood and old school Americana feel, nice.
Well, I feel like I certainly earned my salt today. I'm off to cook and prepare for Bethzaira's arrival with Luna the Looney Chihuahua!!!

We are settling into 2B nicely as you can see no more boxes and the Arco lamp is up!!! Bethzaira has ordered a new shade as I left the last one in the back of the cab 2 years ago when David gave us the lamp...duh!
I even managed to do a bit of weeding in the garden this weekend, we were cultivating a bit of a jungle so I cleared it all ready for some sweet BBQ action. The loft is looking good, we still need to get a desk for the computer and dresser for sweaters but we did find something at Ikea on Sunday which we both think will fit nicely. The bedroom has up until now been used as a giant walk-in wardrobe so Bethzaira went through the bags and organized things so that we can now get a new bed for the room and move from sleeping in the loft. We still need to get shades/blinds for the whole apartment but they will have to be custom fitted/made as the ceiling is so high.
Right I’m off to meet Matthew who has just landed at JFK and is in town working here in NY this week, he’s staying at the new “Bowery” hotel tres groovy!

Sorry I've been a bit slack on the old blog, now we've moved in I'm so eager to go home every night and bask in the evening sun!
Here's a little something I've been working on today, we are drawing very close to getting the Eco-Bags into production. So I've been prepping the packaging ready for HK to start pricing, etc. We had to revise the recycle logo/icon as the product is not made of recycled materials but is designed to be recycled. I'm quite happy with my new icon it's made up of the Parcel Button logo so it ties nicely back to the Brand...
Have a groooOOvy evening!

We had a wonderful time in San Francisco zipping around the city and the local neighborhood out in Sausalito in Matthew’s Porsche and Zack’s Mini! The 4th of July was fun we spent the day at a friends pool catching some sun then headed over to Stacy and Greg’s place for an ALL American BBQ. We nearly had cardiac arrest after gorging ourselves on smoked pork brisket, ribs, home-made baked beans and tons of great wine from all over the world!
Thursday we had amazing dim sum at Yang Sing in the city after checking out Matthew’s groovy office and personal terrace. Then we zipped over to the De Young museum for some culture init, cool building but a bit of a let down art wise although they did have an amazing selection or South American, Africa, Polynesian artifacts and art.
Friday we jumped in the Mini and Zack drove us all up to Napa for some wine tasting and cards, the locals were quite taken by our hardcore outdoor Dominican Rummy playing at “Go Fish” a delightful seafood restaurant. That night we had a dinner at a restaurant in the city called Foreign Cinema, they project foreign films on a huge wall whilst the groovy clientele dine and party the night away!
Saturday we went to Muir Woods to see the colossal Redwoods and sample the outdoors life, for the evening we ended up back in Sausalito over looking the bay drinking tequila’s and enjoying the sunset on the water...Nice!
Sunday we had brunch at a delightful little inn before heading to Stinson beach where they advertise the fact that great white sharks are present in the area and have attacked humans in six foot of water needless to say I declined from taking a dip in the Pacific!!!
We arrived back early Monday morning to a steamy NYC thoroughly content with our Californian adventure, thank you Matthew and Zack for making a trip to remember!

Yesterday we move in to our wonderful apartment, YES!!! It's such a great space and the neighborhood is cool, we did a little exploring found the local supermarket and wine store, ofcourse all the essentials...
My good friend Chris Tubb's from college is shooting in NY this week so he dropped by for the evening. It was great to see him and catch up, I think we were a little frazzled from the afternoon celebrations but it made for a memorable first evening in our new home.
Have a wonderful evening!
