A WEEKEND AT HOME...

Well actually it was more like a day and half at home but none-the-less a wonderful treat to see Mum & Dad and little Hannah before embarking on my European whirlwind tour! We had a delicious roast pork and time for a blustery walk on the cliff top on Saturday, here's a shot of my Dad with one of the monstrous mushrooms we found on the way...

BECK

Went to see the Beck show last night at Madison Sq. Garden Theater, such a RAD show really unique and very fun! He had a mini puppet version of his band and himself playing along with the band. They would mimic and dance just like the band as they played the songs, so funny to watch on the big and mini screen! He played for a good hour and a half with time a "dinner?" break where the band left the stage momentarily only to return with a full dining table and full of food, plates and drinks which they proceeded to devour whilst Beck played solo. Then the band joined in playing the glasses, plates and the table in an amazing display of adhoc madness!!!

LIONS ROAR!!!!

Had a gruff day yesterday, oh well. Here's a sketch I did of an Ancient Chinese lion vase, I love that it looks like it swallowed a cannon and is about to fire one off! Off to the Beck show tonight at Madison SQ Garden should be really RAD!!!

Have a groovy day!

JUANA MOLINA...WOW

So groovy...I feel very different in my ears and in my chi! Quite an experience, thanks to Hannah and the Sheppa Peppa for the heads-UP, it was SO worth the money and the energy. Starkly strange and darkly comforting...

SPACE42CONDO

It's been a crazy week already, the good news is we have been accepted for our offer on the apartment in Brooklyn, 2B of the space42.condos.com. Thanks to Jeddy, Mum & Dad and our savings we have the money for the downpayment!!! It's so exciting to be finally moving into our own place, fingers crossed there will be no problems and we should be in by December or early January. By the looks of things it's just in the nick of time as the Avalon monster mash buildings on Houston are creeping closer and closer to our small apartment with a ever increasing level of construction noise!!!

GREY LEGS RABBIT

Phew, what a week! So glad it's the weekend, went to Wu Chi breathing last night with Hannah. It was her first time experiencing the power of her Chi, I think she really enjoyed it! My Tai Chi master offers this self-cleansing breathing class twice a month, (ahntaichi.com). Hannah has been working hard on her "Pooka-Nooka" project all week, this is one she made earlier...Grey Legs Rabbit complete with removeable heart and replacement eye!!!

Pig in Blanket!

I took the day off today as I was feelong under the weather, so I thought I would take the time to do my daily blog. This sketch was inspired by a story of Andy Warhol. We have been working on the new season of bags and accessories for the A.W. Foundation, researching his early work when I came across a quote from a lady friend who told him to paint what he loved as he was struggling to find inspiration, so he started to paint money, she also told him to paint everyday things like a can of soup...funny how big things come from small ideas!

Family PARR!

We had a wonderful dinner with Aunty Karen Friday night, it was a wonderful way to start the weekend! It was really nice to see her and for all of us to be together. Byron is starting his first day at Ideo, so "Good Luck" Byron!

Had a relaxed weekend, Charlie was staying with us Friday and Saturday he had been traveling with work for the last two weeks so he was quite please to be just taking it easy. I had a great Sunday, breakfast at home sausage and eggs with a whole can of Heniz baked beans, delicious! Chilled for the afternoon with Indiana Jone's "Last Crusade", then we meet Matthew, Zack and Hannah for some spicy Indian at Banjara on 1st Ave.

Well, better get on have a great week!
